America Has Too Much Intellect But Too Little Wisdom

I often wonder what makes America tick and what makes America the leading country in the world, a country so attractive that humans are willing to risk their lives and limbs to get here. I have figured the answer to it lies in all the best brains in America that have made it the most lucrative land to be in.

So why then is America also failing miserably in many areas?

Again the answer lies in the same argument, what we have is just pure intellect with little wisdom.

So what is wisdom really?

Wisdom is the ability to use your intellect, knowledge, and experience to make the right decisions.

Let me illustrate my argument with some pointers.

Look at the complete breakdown in the family system in America. Many Americans make the most compelling intellectual arguments against the institution of marriage but the resulting anomaly is we are slowly becoming a society of hookups and single parents with a lot of children being deprived of the security of a stable home.

Our lopsided intellectual arguments are not considering the fallouts that can only come from a place of wisdom.
